Vols Land 4-Star Quarterback
Published by MoonDog on June 26, 2008
The Tennessee Volunteers continued their run of landing top-level prospects when Upland, California quarterback Josh Nunes declared he is a Vol.
Nunes committed to Tennessee without even visiting Knoxville, a testament to the recruiting effort of new Offensive Coordinator Dave Clawson.
The 6-3 208-pound QB received interest from many schools including Arizona State, BYU, Florida, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Stanford.
Even Harvard was interested in Nunes because of his excellent academic standing, compiling a 4.6 GPA.
Rivals and Scout each have Nunes listed as one of the top 20 QB’s in the nation. Nunes’ announcement is the 11th commitment received from high school players for the Vols. Check out the entire list of commitments by visiting Rivals.
