Memphis Tigers Basketball News
By MFSKEN | July 10, 2008
From Gary Parrish at CBSSportsLine.com we hear that Tiger recruit Tyreke Evans has not been playing in the LeBron James Skills Academy. He hurt his ankle at the Paul Pierce Camp and is on the mend.
According to ESPN’s Andy Katz, Doneal Mack, who transferred from Memphis to the University of New Orleans last week, is on his way back to Memphis, according to his high school coach, John Jordan.
I believe head coach John Calipari would allow Mack to return with open arms, but there may be an NCAA process to maneuver which could pose problems.
And how did I miss this one? Memphis has a game scheduled against Massachusetts next year. The game will be played in Memphis next season at 11 PM I am told, and the return game in 2009 will be played in Boston.
A year ago, UMass had to back out of playing in Boston once Kentucky backed out of its commitment to play the Minutemen.
