Harding Academy WR Marlon Brown
Last season Donelson Christian Academy traveled to Memphis and defeated Harding Academy 22-19. This season, Harding traveled to Nashville and the Lions were able to return the favor, defeating the Wildcats 27-10 Friday night.
Marlon Brown, one of the nation’s most coveted wide receivers and a prime recruiting target of the Tennessee Volunteers, caught six passes for 127 yards and two TDs.
Brown caught his first TD from QB Phillip Branch from 25 yards out. Brown’s second TD of the night came on a dazzling play of 79 yards after he caught a pass from Tyler Stanford.
Harding improved to 2-0 and will play their first home game next week against SBEC. The Trojans won their season opener Friday night defeating Prairie View Academy 42-20.
