Cowboys WR Terrell Owens Dives Towards The End Zone

Tony Romo was impressive, completing 24-of-32 passes for 320 yards and connecting with wide receiver Terrell Owens for a 35-yard pass for a touchdown.

Marion Barber had two TD’s on a pair of 1-yard runs and rushed for 80 yards on 15 carries.

Dallas controlled the clock for nearly 15 minutes longer than the Browns, with Cleveland’s only sustained drive coming in the first quarter after Dallas had taken a 7-0 lead.

For the rest of the afternoon Cleveland couldn’t string together any success against the Cowboys defense.

With the exception of a dropped pass by tight end Jason Witten and being penalized 11 times, Dallas was very sharp. The Cowboys big offensive line dominated, giving Romo time to survey the field and find open receivers.

Terrell Owens had five receptions for 87 yards, Jason Witten six catches for 96 yards and Patrick Crayton six catches for 82 yards.

First round draft pick Felix Jones scored his first career touchdown on an 11-yard run in the third quarter. Jones finished with 62 yards on nine carries to bolster the Cowboys ground game that gained 167 yards.

Starting at corner for the injured Terence Newman, Jones was called for interference in the end zone to set up Cleveland’s only TD.

The Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles next Monday in their home opener. The Eagles (1-0) crunched the St. Louis Rams Sunday, 38-3.
