Harding Academy wide receiver Marlon Brown, the No. 19 ranked prep prospect in the nation according to Scout, has dropped the USC Trojans from the list of schools he’s considering.

Brown cut his list from 10 to six earlier this year and will now select from the five remaining school’s actively pursuing him. The Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes are the programs seeking Brown’s services.

Brown also announced he will pay a visit to Georgia on September 26. Harding Academy has a bye that week and Brown will get to see the Bulldogs in action against Alabama.

Brown has yet to announce other planned visits. Harding doesn’t have any other byes this season and in all likelihood he will take his visits between November and late January.

Harding plays the University School of Jackson (TN) this week. I’ll attend the game and provide a report early Saturday.
