Ah, a beautiful part of the world. I’ve spent plenty of time in Sardinia, but haven’t been across to Isla di Santo Stefano…I heard that there were a lot of military bases around the area that have been closed down.

Mookie – I was stationed on Santo Stefano Island, just off the coast of Sardinia. They’ve since closed the base but that was an excellent billet. I got a chance to visit relatives that were alive at that time on the mainland.

Phil – Sardinia is a fairly warm climate. Gets a little nippy in December and January, but otherwise very moderate. And chances are she has more money than you and me. At least you.
