Without Bones, Wednesdays Would Suck

Wednesday, otherwise known as hump day, is the middle of the work week for most of us and the day we need to survive before we roll towards the weekend.

Maybe it’s just me but Wednesday’s seem to be the worst night of all for watching television. At least that’s the way it used to be before Fox moved Bones to Wednesday nights this year.
Starring David Boreanaz and the very lovely Emily Deschanel (Zooey Deschanel’s older sister), Bones has become one of my favorite shows on TV.
Boreanaz plays FBI Agent Seeley Booth and Deschanel plays the part of Dr. Temperance Brennan, whom Agent Booth has nicknamed Bones.
Deschanel’s character is a forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, DC, and writes novels as a sideline. She plays the part to perfection as a nerdy, hyper-intelligent, socially awkward but very sexy scientist and crime fighter.
Booth is a pretty boy type but he has the intuitive ability to read people, an important element as he and Bones chase down the bad guys.
Booth and Bones have grown close over the three-plus years of the show and there are some romantic overtones that lead the viewer to believe the two of them will hook up eventually.
If you haven’t watched the show, give it a look tonight and you’ll discover how entertaining Bones is.
Fox has already announced Bones will move to Thursday nights starting in January so I’m thinking Wednesday night TV options will now in fact suck, but Thursday night looks a lot better now.
