2009 College Football Top Non-Conference Games

Next season is already looking good for college football fans with a solid slate of non-conference games scheduled for 2009.
The season kicks off on September 5 with five compelling contests including expected top 10 teams Alabama and Oklahoma.
September 12 will again mark what may be the most important of all non-conference games when USC travels to Columbus to take on Ohio State.
The slate of games scheduled for September 19 includes what is perhaps the most intriguing matchup of the season when Utah takes on Oregon at Autzen Stadium.
Defending BCS champion Florida doesn’t play a difficult non-conference schedule next season, with their only marquee contest coming against in-state rival Florida State on November 28.
Speaking of Florida State, the Seminoles look to have one of the most demanding schedules of all BCS conference teams.
Including their game against the Gators, FSU will face BYU in Salt Lake on September 19 and the following week play host to South Florida.

It’s not on your list but this one might be my game of the year. Rumor has it UCONN @ Notre Dame late in the season. Being a fan of the Huskies this is huge, too bad Donald Brown won’t be around to run all over the Irish.

UConn takes on the Irish on November 21 in South Bend. Had both of them been ranked in the expected top 25 for next season, I would have listed this game. An interesting matchup nevertheless.

Just wondering why this game “Arkansas vs Texas A&M @ Arlington” is on the list. Neither team will be that good.
