Comedienne Roseanne Barr, whose existence has been irrelevant for over a decade, is urging Bruce Springsteen to use his upcoming appearance at the Super Bowl to protest against the bloodshed in the Middle East.
Barr has publicly condemned Israel’s role in the recent attacks on the Palestinian-held Gaza strip.
Barr wants Springsteen to voice his opposition to the Israeli action when he performs at halftime during Super Bowl XLIII between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
She writes on her website, “The Boss oughta (sic) demand during his half-time (sic) appearance this Sunday that Obama stop bombing Pakistan . . . and stop funding the Israeli war machine! Tell Obama to . . . make Israel stop bombing Gaza!!!!”
Perhaps Barr should stick to living in obscurity and focusing on her Jenny Craig diet. The Super Bowl isn’t the Academy Awards or other forum which bloviating, out-of-touch celebrities voice their outrage about issues they generally know absolutely nothing about.

For me Roseanne Barr has about as much relevance as piece of fecal matter found on the sole of my shoe. All I do is to wipe it away and forget about it. Just like we ought to forget about Barr once and for all. This is the same ignorant idiot who stood up and stated that Michael Richards had done nothing wrong when he went off on his ignorant racial rampage not long ago. I’d heckle someone’s ass if his act wasn’t even funny to begin with. But for him to have retort with racial epithets shows what an a-hole he is to begin with. He was never that funny on Seinfeld at all !
Where’s her voice when there’s real carnage and mayhem taking place in other parts of the world as well as here in the US. Silent no doubt as usual. I doubt she even knows what’s actually happening in Gaza much less the West Bank. It’s merely because it’s journal de jour she’s opining on it at all !
tophatal …………….
Ny thoughts exactly. I spent a lot of time in the Persian Gulf region and while I don’t profess to know much beyond that experience, at least I experienced it first hand. I spent three days in Israel during the Operation Desert Storm and it was a real eye-opener. If these celebrities really want to help make a difference, let them donate money to whatever cause they deem appropriate. Other than that, I don’t need to listen to a half-wit babble on incessantly about that which they do not know.
