Welcome to the completely redesigned home of MoonDog Sports, the world’s most dead common sports web site.
The redesign process began just over a month ago after my friend Phil at Gunaxin told me the truth. I asked him what he thought of my site one day and he replied “it sucks.”
I said, “Hell, I already know that. So what do you suggest?”
Long story short, without Phil’s honest opinion I wouldn’t have received the motivation needed to undertake this endeavor.
This new Word Press theme isn’t completely unique, but it isn’t being widely used either. Powered by Word Press 2.7.1, this theme has a lot of functionality with its menu driven options.
Quite a few hours and headaches went into the customization of this site, most of which were incurred by the master of design, the ubiquitous Lawvol.
Had it not been for him, this site wouldn’t be possible. My sincere thanks for his efforts and most importantly, his patience. Dealing with me requires a LOT of patience.
Don’t expect anything to change regarding content. I’m a sports nut first, a lover of half-naked women (completely naked too – Ethan just got nervous) and I’m still going to rail against the politicians.
Celebrity news and birthdays, a video or two, maybe a poll to highlight a post and maybe even a major story that only the Great & Powerful one can produce.
I’d like to thank all of you that have extended your friendship and support of this site over the past 14 months. Without those relationships, this site wouldn’t be among one of the most pathetic excuses for a sports blog on the Internet.
As with any new toy, I suspect there may be a bug or two as we move forward. Should you encounter any problems with the site, please contact me so we can get it corrected.
Two areas that have already been identified as problems are the thumbnails and the need to re-categorize most of the posts – all 852 of them. I’m so happy. In addition, we’re having trouble getting the blog roll to appear on the home page.
Any suggestions, comments or hateful words you may have regarding this new layout, please direct your remarks to Phil at Gunaxin because he’s the person who got me into this.
Thanks for dropping by and again, I appreciate the support everyone has given me.

I like the new look and can tell the work that has gone into your site. As with any new redesign or layout, problems are bound to surface and I know they’ll be worked out in due time. I know that all too well myself having changed mine a few times since I started.
At any , congrats on the new layout for your site!
I like the new look alot MoonDog! I think its easier to find your articles too.
Congrats on the re-launch!
Hey, the new look is great! Good work!
Want to make any friendly wagers for the upcoming 2009 season? Or are do you have Battered Person Syndrome after last year’s drubbing?
I was only kidding, sometimes it’s hard to pick up on that on the Internet. I can’t talk about bad predictions — I picked a Rockies/Indians World Series last year.
Very cool stuff Moondog. Looks great.
I like how you went from praising me to rubbing my face in it within two short sentences. I still have a lot of bugs to work out, namely the images. This theme forces you to insert an image that appears in thumbnail format. That means I have to go through all 855 posts and re-insert an image.
Need a part-time job?
I think this year, the year of the whatever Chinese zodiac sign, I’m going to select which team gives up the most runs. That should be fun. Loser has to write a post titled (insert name) Is My Hero.
Bring it on kid.
Thanks dude. Still have a lot of work to do. Once everything is laid out the way I want it, I believe it will end up being a solid design. Thanks again for dropping by.
Thank you dear. I know you’re getting excited – NASCAR is just around the corner. ZOOM!
Thanks dude.
