Happy Birthday Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel, one of the planet’s most recognizable women and one of my personal favorites, celebrates her 27th birthday today.

As most of us know, Biel first came into the national spotlight when she played the role of sweet Mary Camden, the daughter of a minister on the TV series 7th Heaven.

Biel landed that role at the tender age of 14, and with her popularity the show became the highest rated program to ever air on the WB Network.

In 2000, during the fourth season of 7th Heaven, Biel was growing tired of playing the pure Mary Camden and blamed the show for giving her a squeaky-clean image.

In fact, Biel lost out on a role in the film American Beauty, which ultimately was given to Thora Birch.

In an effort to get out of her contract, she posed semi-nude for Gear magazine. Some fans of 7th Heaven were outraged, and the shoot also sparked a lot of controversy, considering Biel was only 17 at the time.

But it also cast Biel in a much different light, one that allowed her to seek opportunities beyond the role of a minister’s daughter.

In late 2007, Biel landed the role of a stripper in the film Powder Blue, marking the first time in which she appeared nude.

In April 2008, Biel began working on the film Nailed, which centers around a woman who accidentally gets a nail lodged in her head causing her to become a nymphomaniac. The movie is due to be released in 2009.

Jessica has been ranked in the top 10 of every major men’s magazine lists of the most beautiful women for seven years.

In 2007, she was ranked No. 1 in Stuff Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women and in 2008 was ranked No. 2 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World.

There’s no question Jessica Biel has come a long way since her days of playing Mary Camden. As all of the images below will indicate, Jessica has only gotten more beautiful as time progresses.
