Actor Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed he will return for an eighth season playing the role of Jack Bauer on the Fox TV series 24.
Sutherland has pledged his allegiance to 24, crediting the action series with reviving his career and insists he is eternally grateful to TV bosses for giving him the opportunity.
Although Sutherland longs to branch out into new movie and theater projects, he is determined to stay with 24 as long as producers want him.
He says, “If I was going to liken 24 to a girlfriend, 24 has been really good to me. And I need to be really good back.”
“There are plays I want to do. There are so many different things I would like to do, but I was so fortunate to be part of something like 24 that my focus is still on that right now.”
Sutherland has hopes of eventually taking 24 to the big screen, something fans of the show would truly love to see.
