The 2009 SEC team by team grid schedule is complete, which you can view here. A quick glance suggests Georgia will again have the most demanding path to reach the BCS national championship game in Pasadena.
The Bulldogs open with six games against formidable competition, beginning with a road game on September 5 against Oklahoma State. Georgia will face South Carolina, Arkansas, Arizona State, LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt before getting an open date on October 24.
Alabama will open their season against Virginia Tech on September 5, making it the marquee matchup of all SEC teams on opening day.
Florida will begin its quest for back-to-back SEC and BCS championships on September 5 against Charleston Southern. The Gators non-conference schedule only includes one game of any significance, that being against in-state rival Florida State to close out the regular season.
LSU, having signed what may be the nation’s best recruiting class, will get tested in the middle of the season. The Tigers face what appears to be the toughest five-game stretch of any SEC team this year.
An October 3 road game against Georgia starts things off for LSU, then home games against Florida, Auburn and Tulane before taking on Alabama in Tuscaloosa on November 7.
The season concludes with the SEC championship game to be held on December 5 at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.
