I'm always glad to hear when a smaller blog gets some love. I don't know about being kept in our place so much though. Deadspin, The Big Lead, Awful Announcing, etc. get serious traffic every month without the help of Extra Mustard or ESPN. Maybe the smaller blogs fall under that category, but I have a good relationship with several professional journalists who have never treated me like a pariah. That tells me something.
