Mischa Barton is heading back to TV in a new fashion-based show alongside Ashton Kutcher.
Barton quit The O.C. in 2006 to pursue a movie career, but will now go back to her roots on the small screen in A Beautiful Life, a satire based on the fashion industry.
Barton will play a New York-based model in the pilot episode, which also features a cameo appearance from supermodel Elle Macpherson.
Barton says, “It’s a really great show. It’s like the O.C. but times 10. Everyone is dressed in the latest Versace and McQueen. Zac Posen has a fashion show in the first episode and plays himself.
“It’s a younger version of Sex and the City. I play a super bitchy model in New York. If the pilot does well I will be spending a lot more time in New York.”
And Barton admits she loved the clothes so much, she took most of them home with her, adding, “I bought most of my wardrobe.”
I’m so happy for Mischa, but mostly I’m happy for me getting an opportunity to watch the sexy Miss Barton on television again.
