Happy Birthday Briana Banks

Briana Banks, a German-born porn actress that was of the first to have an action figure made of her likeness, celebrates her 31st birthday today.

Banks moved to Britain at the age of four, and then to the Los Angeles suburb of Simi Valley when she was seven. She actually got her start in mainstream modeling when as a teenager she made the cover of Teen Magazine.

After holding several menial jobs in her early youth, Banks responded to an ad in the newspaper to do nude modeling for adult magazines in 1999 at the age of 21.

The photographer for that photo shoot recognized she had potential and shortly thereafter Banks made her first porn flick, appearing in University Coeds 18.

Banks originally appeared under the stage name of Mirage but began calling herself Briana Banks in 2000, after having the first of two breast enlargement operations.

She appeared in Penthouse magazine as Pet of the Month in June 2001 and that same year signed with Vivid Entertainment.

Banks was a contributing author in the 2004 book How To Have a XXX Sex Life: The Ultimate Vivid Guide. In the book she and other Vivid Girls give advice and tips about sex, as well as relate anecdotes from their personal sex lives.

Banks has slowed down since her early days in porn, mostly shooting content for her personal web site and making the occasional appearance at adult conventions.

Those early days were very rewarding for Banks and arguably she was one of the top five porn actresses in the early 2000′s.
