With the news yesterday of the NCAA investigating the University of Memphis and it’s men’s basketball program, I didn’t have enough time to post happy birthday wishes for Kylie Minogue.
Minogue, an icon in Australia and a performer with world-wide appeal, celebrated her 41st birthday on May 28.
She rose to prominence in the late 1980s through her role in the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, before commencing her career as a recording artist in 1987.
Minogue’s popularity waned during the early 1990s and continued for much of the decade.
But in 2000, She returned to popularity as a pop artist and became well-known for her elaborate music videos and expensively mounted stage shows.
Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but returned to performing in late 2006 after a period of convalescence.
Although she was dismissed by some critics during her early career, Minogue has achieved longevity as a pop music artist and has sold in excess of 60 million records.
I admire Minogue for her ability to fight breast cancer and continue forward with her career. At 41, she still looks good and the images below will prove it.
