Season three of the USA Network show Burn Notice just got a lot hotter with the addition of Moon Bloodgood into the show’s strong cast.
At the conclusion of season two, Michael Westen, played by Jeffrey Donovan, watched his arch nemesis Carla, played by Tricia Helfer, get killed by his closet friends and partners, Sam Axe, played by Bruce Campbell and Fiona Glenanne, played by Gabrielle Anwar.
As much as Carla was a thorn in Michael’s side, she was also one of the few people that potentially knew who burned him. Now that she’s dead, Michael is no closer to knowing who took away his life as a CIA operative.
After the June 4 season premier, Bloodgood enters the show’s cast as Michael’s new antagonist, playing the role of Miami police detective Michelle Paxon.
Her character becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth about Michael and like Carla did in season two, she will pop up at the most inopportune moments.
Bloodgood is a former Lakers Girl and has most recently appeared in the film Terminator Salvation as Lt. Blair Williams.
Ironically, Bloodgood wasn’t the first choice of Burn Notice producers. Jennifer Esposito was originally given the role of Paxon, but due to health reasons she had to drop out.
In 2009, Bloodgood appeared on the cover of the June issue of Maxim Magazine and for the fourth time made Maxim’s Hot 100 list, coming in at No. 20. In previous Hot 100 lists, she was No. 99 in 2005, No. 53 in 2006 and No. 40 in 2007.
Burn Notice is already a great show but the inclusion of Bloodgood into the cast will make it even better. Give Burn Notice a look on Thursday nights at 9:00 Eastern on USA and for a closer look at Moon Bloodgood, check out the images below.
