Alana de la Garza, a former Miss Teen USA contestant and the actress that plays Assistant District Attorney Consuela “Connie” Rubirosa on NBC’s long-running TV series Law & Order, celebrates her 33rd birthday today.
Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in El Paso, Texas, the sexy de la Garza won the Miss Photogenic title during the Miss Teen USA-El Paso beauty pageant.
She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in physical therapy and social work, concentrating on helping special needs children.
After moving to New York City, de la Garza landed the role of Rosa Santos on the soap opera, All My Children. She also landed guest-starring roles on JAG, Two and a Half Men, and Las Vegas.
In 2005, de la Garza starred in the film Mr. Fix-It alongside David Boreanaz, the actor currently starring in the TV series Bones. She also played the recurring role of Marisol Delko on the CBS television series CSI: Miami.
In 2006 she landed her current role on Law & Order, and over the past three years de la Garza has garnered numerous accolades for her acting.
