According to reports from New York Newsday, pop icon Michael Jackson has died as a result of a massive coronary. Newsday is reporting Jackson was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles but paramedics were unable to resuscitate him after administering CPR.
The Los Angeles Fire Department says Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home.
Joe Jackson, the family patriarch, had told the site his son “is not doing well” when news of his heart attacked first broke.
OK! magazine’s Web site says the publication confirmed Jackson was taken to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and that streets surrounding the hospital were blocked by police and yellow tape.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.
