Sophia Bush, perhaps best known for her role as Brooke Davis in the CW TV series One Tree Hill and for her film portrayals in the 2007 remake The Hitcher and John Tucker Must Die, celebrates her 27th birthday today.
Before she became a widely recognized star, Bush was named the 2000 Tournament of Roses Parade Queen. She attended USC for three years before landing the role of Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill in 2003.
Bush made her first big screen appearance in the comedy Van Wilder. Following that role, she made appearances in several television shows, including Nip/Tuck, Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Punk’d.
Bush received a “Rising Star” award at the Vail Film Festival for her work in The Hitcher. She has also won three Teen Choice Awards for her work in John Tucker Must Die and The Hitcher.
Bush was listed at No. 90 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women of 2007 and that same year she was ranked No. 24 in the Maxim Hot 100. In previous years, Bush has ranked No. 3 on Femme Fatales: The 50 Sexiest Women of 2004 and No. 15 on Much Music’s 20 Hottest Women of 2004.
Bush was also briefly linked romantically to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, as the two were seen together at a Cowboys’ home game in 2007.
Bush has a subtle sexiness about her that you’ll see in the images below. While she may not be mentioned in the same breath with other young actresses, she can still hold her own.
