Not that this comes as a shock for those of us who follow the Southeastern Conference, but over the past 10 years the SEC dominated the Big 12 Conference on the gridiron.
My friends at the College Football Palace did a great job compiling the head-to-head matchups between the nation’s best college football conferences from 1999 to 2008.
In the last 10 seasons, the SEC and Big 12 have met 34 times on the gridiron, including 21 bowl matchups.
The SEC leads the Big 12 head-to-head with a 19-15 record, but even more impressive is the SEC’s 14-7 record against the Big 12 in bowl games over the last 10 seasons, including Florida’s win over Oklahoma in the 2009 BCS championship game.
Including bowl games, the SEC has also handed the ACC plenty of beat downs over the past 10 seasons too.
The SEC leads the ACC head-to-head with a 44-32 record from 1999 to 2008.
