Summer Glau, the sexy brunette actress that spends a lot of her time dealing with the Terminator, celebrates her 28th birthday today.
Glau was born in San Antonio, Texas, where she was home-schooled. She received a scholarship to a ballet company at a very young age but a serious ankle injury ended her dancing career.
Glau relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 and eventually landed a guest role as a ballerina in an episode on the television series Angel.
There she caught the eye of director Joss Whedon, who later cast her in his short-lived TV series Firefly as River Tam, a role she reprised for the show’s feature film sequel, Serenity.
Since then, Glau has appeared in several popular TV shows, including Cold Case, The Unit and CSI.
In Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Glau plays the role of Cameron Phillips, a Terminator infiltration unit sent back to protect John Connor and Sarah Connor from Skynet.
Glau was ranked No. 36 in this year’s Top 99 Women at AskMen.com.
