Katherine Heigl Doesn’t Know What Hard Work Is

Only in fantasy land – also known as Hollywood – would someone complain like actress Katherine Heigl did regarding a hard day’s work.

Heigl was critical of her work schedule during an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in July, where she described her first day back on the “Grey’s Anatomy” set as “cruel and mean.”

“Our first day back was Wednesday, and it was – I’m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them – a 17-hour day, which I think is cruel and mean,” Heigl said.

Heigl obviously doesn’t have any idea what a hard day’s work truly is.

Last week ABC executive Steve McPherson berated Heigl for the recent outburst, slamming her for going public – because she’s not the only staff member putting in long hours on the show.

He tells the Hollywood Reporter, “I think it’s unfortunate. People are going to behave in the way they choose to behave.

There are so many people who work so hard on ‘Grey’s,’ and all of our shows, without any notoriety and those are the ones I’d be concerned about, people who feel like they’re being criticized or looked down upon.”

I don’t believe anyone serving in Iraq or Afghanistan would consider Heigl’s 17-hour work day cruel and mean, especially considering how much she’s earning for those 17 hours of work.

Perhaps Heigl could ask to trade places with a soldier on the ground in Afghanistan where she could experience a hard day’s work.

Not to mention, she could be paid the same amount as that soldier for 17 hours of work, which I can assure you from personal experience is dramatically less than what she’s being paid to play dress up and make believe.

Heigl just earned the title of Dingleberry here at MoonDog Sports.
