Just a few words regarding ABC News anchor Charles Gibson‘s admission – or should I say he chose to ignore – easily one of the most news worthy events that has occurred this year involving the growing ACORN scandal.
ACORN is a national community outreach group that has received millions in federal funding and is set to receive millions more from the federal stimulus package.
Gibson was a guest on a radio talk show on Tuesday, claiming he didn’t know anything about ACORN.
“I don’t even know about it,” Gibson said, laughing. “So you’ve got me at a loss. … But my goodness, if it’s got everything, including sleaziness in it, we should talk about it in the morning.” Gibson went on to say the story might be “just one you leave to the cables.”
Yea, right.

Charles Gibson Has Sgt. Schultz Disease
I guess Gibson thinks we’re stupid enough to believe a network news anchor went four days without hearing the organization was fired by the U.S. Census Bureau last Friday and on Monday the U.S. Senate voted 83-7 to block any housing grants to ACORN.
Hannah Giles, a 20-year-old Florida International University student and an aspiring journalist, is the scantily clad female posing as a prostitute in the videos along with James O’Keefe, a 25-year-old activist filmmaker who appears in outlandish, fur-accented pimp garb.
The videos – shot in Baltimore, Washington, New York, San Bernadino, and San Diego – have been an Internet sensation and were highlighted during a six-minute segment on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Tuesday.
Gibson, along with the other established news organizations like NBC and CBS, and print publications like the New York Times and Washington Post, have failed to cover the ACORN story.
The once proud network news productions which were anchored by true journalists like Walter Cronkite, John Chancellor, Howard K. Smith and Frank Reynolds, have all become immersed in failure on many levels, the most basic of which is reporting the news.
Watch this video of Jon Stewart calling out the “mainstream” media for their failure to cover the ACORN story.

Mr. Gibson :
Somewhere Sarah Palin is laughing at your ignorance.
