Upon hearing that World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon was leaving her post to make a run for the U.S. Senate, it got me to thinking about the WWE in general and all of the personalities that have been a part of the most successful wrestling venture ever.
One such personality is Trish Stratus, who as recently as last week appeared as a guest host on the September 14 edition of WWE Raw.
After beginning her career as a fitness model, Stratus landed a job with the WWF, later renamed to the present day WWE, in March 2000. She was originally cast as the mistress to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and the manager for the tag team T & A.
Not surprisingly, Stratus became very popular with WWE fans – I wonder why? She would go on to become the WWE Hardcore Champion and three-time WWE Babe of the Year.
In 2006, after nearly seven years in the business, Stratus retired from wrestling after winning her seventh WWE Women’s Championship.
Not that I really needed any special reason to post photos of Stratus, but I figured now was as good a time as any to highlight the most popular chick to ever work for the WWE.
