Hilary Duff, the actress and singer who has risen to become one of the most popular celebrities on the planet, celebrates her 22nd birthday today.
Duff gained fame for playing the role of Lizzie McGuire both in the television series and in the 2003 movie. Duff used her success with Lizzie McGuire to venture into pop music where she has produced three platinum records and sold well over 15 million albums worldwide.
Duff has most recently signed to play Olivia Burke for seven episodes in the television series Gossip Girl.
In August 2009, it was announced that Duff will star in The Business of Falling in Love, a romantic comedy based on the book “Diary of a Working Girl,” by Daniella Brodsky.
In September 2009, Duff released a second clothing line with DKNY Jeans as “Femme for DKNY.” She decided to design a new clothing line for girls her age which had detachable scarves and adjustable belt loops.
