From the annals of I Can’t Believe What I’m Reading, Britney Spears has been named the best celebrity mom based on the results of a recent poll.
Seriously.
This is the same Britney Spears that damn near killed her son Sean when she almost dropped him after carrying the boy like a six-pack in a crowded street.
It wasn’t too long after that incident when Spears had a meltdown, shaved her head and ended up losing custody of her two kids as a result. Spears would later regain shared custody with ex husband Kevin Federline after she proved to the courts she had cleaned up her act.
Apparently her fans have a short memory or simply chose to ignore the fact that witch covens and hyena’s care for their young better than Spears ever could.
Spears received 74 percent of the vote in the poll by U.K. company Park Christmas Saving to find the best mother in show business.
Following in second place is Spears’ childhood rival, Christina Aguilera, who pulled in 12 percent of the votes, while Angelina Jolie was in third.
Late British reality TV star Jade Goody and Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes were awarded the fourth and fifth spots respectively.
Other famous moms in the top ten include Madonna, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham.
