Stephen Morgan was charged with criminal damage to two hamburgers worth $7.50 after an alleged dispute with a delivery person.
The incident began when Morgan was at home in with partner Michelle Owen on Saturday evening. The couple planned to stay in and watch TV with other family members.
The man reportedly placed an order with his local pizza parlor and allegedly became angry when his order arrived without the hamburgers.
Morgan claims it was agreed the group should wait for the rest of the order, he told the South Wales Evening Post.
A dispute is alleged to have started with a delivery man who came to the house later whom he claims he paid for the order, including the hamburgers.
What follows remains unclear, however police visited the address later that evening and arrested Morgan on suspicion of robbery.
He was taken to Swansea Central police station where he was questioned about the incident and held overnight.
A South Wales Police spokesman confirmed that a 31-year-old man was arrested on Saturday evening and has since been charged with causing criminal damage to food valued at $7.50.
He is due to make a first appearance at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on October 19.
