According to a report on GoVolsExtra.com, rapper Lil Wayne is a big fan of Tennessee Volunteers’ head coach Lane Kiffin.
Tennessee began their football practice on Wednesday listening to Lil Wayne’s new song “Banned From TV” off the “No Ceiling” release, which references Kiffin.
At the 1:10 mark of the song, the Grammy-Award winning Lil Wayne raps, “Smoke weed, talk shit like Coach Kiffin.”
This isn’t the first time a Lil Wayne song has been heard during a Vols’ practice. Wayne’s “Put Me In The Game” is often heard blaring while the Volunteers’ go through drills.
“We’re Lil Wayne fans,” Kiffin said with his trademark smirk. “We played him a number of times out here before. I guess we’re getting a little street cred.”
