The Notre Dame Fighting Irish – one of college football’s most storied programs – has suffered through a lot of mediocre seasons since Lou Holtz last coached the Irish to a national championship over 20 years ago.
With several strong recruiting classes and a Heisman hopeful returning at QB, many of the experts college bowl predictions had Notre Dame in a BCS game this season.
After three straight less than stellar seasons under Charlie Weis, Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly was hired with the hope that he will be the man to guide Notre Dame back to being one of the elite programs in college football.
Much to the chagrin of Fighting Irish fans, Kelly may prove he isn’t the answer for what ails the football program. In fact, the answer may very well rest in the least expected place – the girlfriends of star players.
Florida’s Tim Tebow had no trouble attracting cute coeds who were more than willing to be seen with the Heisman Trophy winner.

Former USC quarterback Mark Sanchez made the rounds on the dating circuit too.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy will be playing for a chance to win a national championship in a few weeks and we all know that chicks dig BCS titles.

Then there’s former Fighting Irish quarterback Jimmy Clausen. You may have heard that he has decided to forgo his senior season at Notre Dame and will make himself available in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Perhaps he decided to leave early because he was a gambling man and wanted to do some sports betting on the bowl games this year.
Perhaps his decision was based on an unwillingness to play for a new head coach or maybe he simply felt there was nothing left to accomplish as a member of the Fighting Irish football team.
But maybe it was because Clausen wasn’t getting the attention from the hot chicks like Tebow, Sanchez and McCoy. Maybe the problem with Notre Dame football can be isolated to the coeds that flock to the star players.
As the photos have shown, Tebow, Sanchez and McCoy haven’t had any trouble landing the ladies, but Clausen…

Now you understand why Notre Dame has suffered on the field – it’s the lack of hot chicks. Poor Brian Kelly. And poor Jimmy Clausen. The Fighting Irish deserve better or at least the players do.
Star football players need more than the Irish tradition, they need top grade A poon to surround them everywhere they go.
Perhaps Kelly should focus his recruiting efforts on attracting star poon to campus to keep his players happy and more productive.
The visual evidence proves that until hotter chicks are available to stroke the players egos, Notre Dame football will continue to suffer.
