Sienna Miller, an American-born English actress and model best known for her roles in G.I. Joe and Alfie, celebrates her 29th birthday today.
Prior to her professional acting career, Miller worked as a model, appearing in an ad campaign for Coca-Cola and a photo layout in Italian Vogue magazine.
Miller also posed in a series of topless and nude photos for the 2003 Pirelli Calendar.
Miller made her film debut in 2001 but it wasn’t until 2004 that she landed her first major role, playing alongside on-again, off-again boyfriend Jude Law in the remake of the 1966 film Alfie.
She later played the female lead opposite Heath Ledger in the film Casanova and in 2006 Miller played the role of Edie Sedgwick in the film Factory Girl.
In 2007, Miller played a small role opposite Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro in Stardust. In 2008, she appeared in the film The Edge of Love with Keira Knightley.
She appeared in the 2009 film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, playing The Baroness.
Miller is also set to appear in the yet to be released Hippie Hippie Shake, a film in which she appears completely nude.
It was reported earlier this month that Miller and Law have rekindled their relationship yet again.
Miller was quoted as saying she didn’t enjoy single life in June after her breakup with former boyfriend Balthazar Getty.
Aside from her relationship with Law, perhaps it’s Miller’s free-spirited nature that makes her the focus of so much media attention.
Her propensity to share her womanly gifts by frequently appearing topless or nude is a more likely explanation why Miller has become so popular.
