O.J. Mayo hit a jumper with 5.2 seconds left, and the Memphis Grizzlies broke an 11-game losing streak against Utah with a nail-biting 91-89 victory over the Jazz on Friday night.
Marc Gasol blocked C.J. Miles’ shot on Utah’s last possession to seal the win for the Grizzlies.
Zach Randolph continued his exceptional play, leading the Grizzlies with 29 points and 15 rebounds. Rudy Gay finished with 22 points and Mayo had 14 for Memphis, which won its fifth straight home game.
It is the first time Memphis has won five straight at home since the end of the 2005-06 season.
Mehmet Okur scored 16 points and Paul Millsap added 15 for the Jazz. Carlos Boozer had 13 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out with 37 seconds left. Ronnie Price, starting for an injured Deron Williams at point, had 10 points and a career-high nine assists.
Memphis (18-17) travels tonight to face the Charlotte (15-19). The Bobcats have won five of their past six games

The Grizzlies claimed Memphis native Lester Hudson off waivers from the Boston Celtics. Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced the move on Friday. 
Hudson was waived by the Boston Celtics on January 6. The rookie guard averaged 1.4 points and 0.5 assists in 16 appearances this season with the Celtics, who selected him in the second round (58th overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft.
Boston also assigned Hudson to two different stints with their NBA Development League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, where he averaged 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists in five games.
Hudson ranked second in the nation in scoring in 2008-09 during his final year at the University of Tennessee-Martin, averaging 27.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.3 steals.
