Grizzlies Zach Randolph Named To NBA All-Star Team

Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph has been selected as a reserve for the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star game in February.

For only the second time in team history, Memphis will have a player representing the organization. Randolph becomes the first Grizzlies’ player since Pau Gasol in 2006 to be named to the All-Star team.

Randolph is averaging 21 points and 11.6 rebounds a game this season in helping the Grizzlies recover from a 1-8 start to winning 24 of their last 35 games.

Joining Randolph as reserve players for the Western Conference are New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul, Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, Utah Jazz guard Deron Williams and Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy.

The Eastern Conference reserves consist of Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, Boston Celtics teammates Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce, Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh, Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace, and Atlanta Hawks teammates Joe Johnson and Al Horford.

The NBA All-Star game will be played in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium on February 14.
