Reality TV star Tila Tequila and ex-boyfriend Shawne Merriman have settled their legal disputes with each other.
Tequila accused the San Diego Chargers linebacker of assaulting her during an altercation at his home in November 2009.
She claimed Merriman tried to choke her and threw her to the ground. She also accused Merriman of false imprisonment.
He insisted he had simply tried to prevent Tequila, real name Tila Nguyen, from leaving his house after a row because she was “inebriated”.
Merriman countersued Tequila for intentional interference with a contract, claiming that her allegations cost him a lucrative business deal. He also accused her of spreading lies to damage his reputation and ruin his career.
The terms of the settlement between the former couple are confidential.
