Who The Hell Are Ali Farokhmanesh & Omar Samhan?

Would you like to take a look at one of the truly ugliest brackets you’ve ever seen? Look no further than my bracket, clearly one that deserves ridicule and laughter.

What was I thinking? I should have known teams like Northern Iowa and St. Mary’s were going to find their way into the Sweet 16.

Who in their right mind could think that Kansas, the nation’s overall number one seed, would have any chance against a team where not one of their players names are known outside of their parents.

I’ll tell you this much, everybody knows who Ali Farokhmanesh is now. The dude with ice water in his veins has a pair that clank, casually nailing a three-pointer to end the Jayhawks title hopes and send the Panthers to their first Sweet 16 in the school’s history.

And then there’s St. Mary’s Omar Samhan. Who the hell is Omar Samhan you ask? He’s the guy who torched #2 seed Villanova for 32 points in leading the Gaels past the Wildcats.

Outside of a few folks that follow Northern Iowa and St. Mary’s, chances are you never heard of Farokhmanesh and Samhan prior to this year’s NCAA basketball tournament.

But with each helping their teams take another step toward a national championship, both of them will – if not already – become household names as the tournament progresses.

We can all point to Ali Farokhmanesh and Omar Samhan as two of the primary culprits who took active roles in turning our brackets into scrap paper.

Not that I mind them trying to help their team’s win, but it would have been nice to know who these guys were before the tournament began.

Had I known how good these guys are, I would never have picked Kansas and Villanova to advance beyond the first round.

If you believe that, I have some exciting business opportunities I’d like to discuss with you.
