Seven teams from the mighty Southeastern Conference populate the latest college baseball rankings in Baseball America’s top 25 poll.
The Virginia Cavaliers are No.1 after taking two of three games from No. 16 Clemson over the weekend. The Cavaliers have held the top spot in Baseball America’s top 25 for five consecutive weeks.
Arizona State is No. 2 in the poll, one of five Pac-10 teams among the top 25. The Sun Devils are 23-0 and swept their weekend series with California.
Georgia Tech is No.3 this week, one of five ACC teams in Baseball America’s top 25 this week. The Yellow Jackets, 21-2, are followed in the poll by ACC rival Florida State.
Rounding out the top five is defending national champion LSU. The Tigers are 20-3 after sweeping Tennessee over the weekend.
Florida, Arkansas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Alabama are the other SEC teams listed in Baseball America’s top 25.
