After Duke won the NCAA basketball national championship on Monday, the Blue Devils Jon Scheyer was so excited he tweeted his phone number.
Guess what happened?
Telling his followers to “Hollerrrrr at me!!!”, fans obliged him to the point where his mailbox filled up within minutes.
In fact, 24 minutes after posting the tweet, Scheyer apparently came to his senses and tweeted the following message.
“Ok my fault… Holler at me over twitter… Stop texting that number pleaseeee”
I’d say it’s a good bet that Scheyer will have to get a new phone number.
Other than his tweeting gaffe, Scheyer had a pretty good night. Shortly after winning the title, he learned that Sports Illustrated will feature him on the cover of this week’s issue.
