2010 College Football Non-Conference Schedules

Teams from the six major BCS conferences will play 59 games against opponents from the Football Championship Subdivision during the 2010 season.

Since the 12-game schedule became the norm in 2005, the six major BCS conferences have increased the number of games against FCS opponents from 31 to 57.

The 57 games against FCS teams is an increase of one from the 2009 season. For the third straight year, the ACC will play the most FCS teams this season with 13 games scheduled.

Arizona State and Virginia will each play two games against FCS opponents this season.

Rivals.com ranked the 12 most embarrassing FCS versus BCS games slated for the 2010 season. Coming in as the most embarrassing was the Georgia State-Alabama matchup.

Georgia State – playing their first season of football – will face the defending BCS national champion Crimson Tide on November 30.

Rivals also ranked the 12 most interesting BCS versus BCS non-conference games for this season.

Not that we agree with their selection, but Rivals rated the Boise State-Virginia Tech game scheduled for September 6 to be the best.
