Happy Birthday Amber Heard

Amber Heard, a Texas girl who dropped out of high school to pursue her dreams of becoming and actress, celebrates her 24th birthday today.

After making her way to Los Angeles, Heard had a hard time getting steady work, mostly appearing in short-lived TV series. Her first major movie role came in 2004 when she appeared in Friday Night Lights.

In 2007, Heard had her first breakout role when she was cast as Greta Matthews on the TV series Hidden Palms, losing 25 pounds to get the part.

Heard’s biggest breakthrough came in the 2008 film Never Back Down, this was soon followed by the successful comedy Pineapple Express which garnered her more fame.

Heard also made a brief appearance in Showtime’s Californication and was part of the ensemble cast of The Informers.

In 2008, Heard was rankled No. 21 in Maxim’s Hot 100 Women and No. 90 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women.

In 2009, she was No. 3 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women and No. 56 in Maxim’s Hot 100 Women.

This year Heard will be featured in two films; And Soon the Darkness, co-starring Odette Yustman, and The Rum Diary, co-starring Johnny Depp.

Heard continues to get better film roles and she’s also one of the most widely searched celebrities, probably because she’s really easy on the eyes.
