United States dominance over England began about the time George Washington crossed the Delaware in 1776. The American Revolution was in its early stages, but signs of future reign over the redcoats were beginning to take shape.
In October 1781, under a combined siege by French and Continental forces, the encircled British army under the command of General Charles Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown, effectively ending the Revolutionary War and establishing American independence forever.
The Revolutionary War was the first ass-kicking America gave England, and it wouldn’t be the last.
At the 1950 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the United States defeated England 1–0 in a group match.
The English considered themselves superior to the U.S. and even called themselves “The Kings of Football”.
England’s roster was comprised of professional soccer players with years of international experience. The U.S. team was made up of part-time players who had real jobs to make ends meet.
But despite overwhelming odds against them, the gritty Americans beat England in what some believe is the greatest upset in World Cup history.
The video below of the United States victory over England is narrated in German, which just happens to be the language everyone in Britain would be speaking right now had America not saved their asses in World War II.
After the game, Harry Keough, a defender on the American team said: “Boy, I feel sorry for these bastards. How are they ever going to live down the fact we beat them?”
Fast forward to 2010. South Africa, Group C, Saturday, June 11, the United States vs England in the first round of the FIFA World Cup.
Poor England doesn’t know it, but another ass-kicking is imminent. And the United States isn’t alone in this battle against the English.
North of England lies Scotland, home of William Wallace. We all know what Wallace did to the English. In fact, Wallace kicked more English ass than America ever has.
My friend DJ Mick is Scottish and he’s pulling for the United States against England in Saturday’s World Cup match.
DJ Mick isn’t too fond of the redcoats either and wrote me saying, “The Nation of Scotland will become Americans for 90 minutes and hopes the U.S. kicks England’s asses.”
With support from our friends in Scotland and AskMen.com, the United States will kick England’s asses at the 2010 World Cup because that’s what we do.
We’ve either kicked or saved England’s asses so many times we’ve lost count, but if you need to know anything about the 2010 World Cup, AskMen has you covered.
The U.S. will win the match over England behind the strength of a goal from Herculez Gomez.
I don’t anything about soccer and know even less about Herculez Gomez, but he has the coolest name among all the players on Team USA – maybe the coolest name on the planet.
Who better to score the winning goal for the United States than a guy named Herculez?
England’s domination of the world came to an end at Yorktown, where brave young patriots defeated the redcoats. On Saturday, patriots will continue to own England like we always have, and the redcoats will have to retreat to their island nation in disgrace.

[...] As my good friend Moondog points out — the USA have kicked plenty of English ass over the years — even at football the USA have kicked some English butt. [...]
