Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck apparently doesn’t like soccer and believes most Americans agree with him.
According to the Web site PoliticusUSA, Beck compared the World Cup to the bubonic plague on his radio program on June 18.
The author of the article opined that Beck’s hatred for the World Cup is centered around television ratings.
Beck’s FNC program has seen a huge ratings decline over the past year while ESPNs ratings for the World Cup have been respectable, although soccer ratings are well behind the other major professional sports.
The article included an audio clip from Beck’s radio program which the author used to support his position.
