In a not so scientific survey conducted by adult entertainment company Adam & Eve, 45% of Americans admitted to enjoying anal sex.
The web-based survey sought to gain insight regarding the sexual preferences and practices of more than 1,000 American adults as part of the company’s Great American Sex Survey.
Of the 68% that admitted to having tried anal sex, 45% said they enjoyed it.
“We are pleased to note that most Americans now view anal sex as an accepted and normal part of sexuality,” says Chad Davis, Marketing Director for Adam & Eve.
“For years, anal sex has had a bad reputation… it speaks well for the open-mindedness of Americans that it is now included as a healthy part of sexuality.”
As someone who gets freaked out even thinking about a prostate exam, the results of this survey suggest there are nearly 150 million Americans who don’t mind getting anally probed – that freaks me out even more.
