Things might be getting serious between Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson, so serious in fact that Simpson was spotted on the Isle of Capri shopping for a ring.
Simpson, who celebrates her 30th birthday on today, was photographed at a jewelery shop with Johnson, a former NFL player who spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.
Simpson looks pretty pleased with her selection, showing Johnson the ring on her hand as they strolled away from the jewelery shop.
Simpson, who previously dated Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and musician John Mayer, began dating Johnson in May, three months after he split from his wife.
A friend of the singer told People.com that Simpson was enjoying her new relationship.
“She is happy that she found a great guy,” the friend said.
