EA Sports Says Ohio State Will Defeat Alabama For BCS Title

A post at ESPN Page 2 says EA Sports “NCAA Football 11″ video game has Ohio State defeating Alabama 36-24 in the BCS national championship game.

The Buckeyes haven’t beaten a team from the SEC since 1988 when they defeated LSU 36-33.

In the past 21 years, Ohio State has lost eight straight to Southeastern Conference teams, including two losses in BCS national championship games to Florida and LSU in consecutive seasons.

Alabama, the defending BCS national champions, enter the 2010 college football season as the overwhelming number one team in the land.

The Crimson Tide are favored to make a return trip to the BCS title game in Glendale, Arizona on January 10, 2011.

Since the BCS was established in 1998, the SEC has won all six national championship games its teams have appeared in.

If Ohio State has any hope of winning the 2011 BCS national championship, they better hope the Crimson Tide isn’t their opponent, otherwise the Buckeyes will hear Yea Alabama a lot.

And even if the Tide don’t make the title game, Ohio State would still meet a similar fate against any Southeastern Conference team because, well, the SEC owns the Buckeyes.
