Video: Former FSU Coach Bobby Bowden on Hannity

Former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden was on Hannity last week discussing his new book and revealed what sounded like hurt feelings over his dismissal.

Bowden was essentially forced to resign after Florida State went 7-6 last season.

Although Bowden doesn’t come off as being bitter, he wants to make sure the record is straight.

“I didn’t want them to spread the story that I voluntarily, happily resigned,” said Bowden, who appeared on Hannity as part of a promotional tour for his new book, “Called to Coach.”

During the interview with Hannity, Bowden described the circumstances that led to his forced resignation.

Bowden won 389 games during a 44-year head coaching career and is second behind Joe Paterno for most victories in college football.

But over the past five seasons Bowden led the Seminoles to a 38-28 record – well short of the expectations he helped create during his 34 years at Florida State.
