I’ve been watching Microsoft’s advertising campaign for Windows 7 for over a year now – you know what I’m talking about – “Windows 7 was my idea!”
Well apparently the ideas of so many came from people who never ran a Web site or worked with lots of photos.
I purchased a new PC over the weekend and have come to discover Windows 7 has disabled the feature that allows the user to move photos within folders.
I tried applying a registry fix that would allow me to solve the problem, but that didn’t work.
So I’ll have to invest more time – my time mind you – uninstalling Windows 7 and reverting back to XP.
I’ve been using Windows-based systems for nearly 25 years – I think the first version of Windows I used was 3.1.
Microsoft is the only company I know throughout all the technological advancements we’ve seen in computers over that time that has actually gotten dumber.
The one underlying problem Microsoft has always had is the fact they never seem to understand that I want my computer to do what I want – not how some nitwit in Seattle wants.
So thanks for wasting my time Microsoft, I really appreciate it. And I’m proud to say that Windows 7, no, it wasn’t my idea, so don’t blame me.
