Russia’s Bubble Baba Challenge doesn’t come close to being a serious sporting event, but these contestants take riding inflatable sex dolls very seriously.
This year’s race saw more than 500 people participating in the eighth annual Bubble Baba Challenge, where the whole idea is to ride the rapids on a sex doll down the Vuoksa River.
The event is open to men and women, with the ladies having a separate race for them only. There are no special qualifications needed to participate, other than all contestants have to be at least 17 years of age, a decent swimmer and everybody has to be sober, which clearly takes some of the fun out of riding a sex doll down a river.
The guy who started the Bubble Baba Challenge is Dmitry Bulawinov, who came up with the idea for the race when no women showed up a party he threw and all the men got drunk.
I’m not entirely sure how a sausage fest evolved into a river race where everyone rides a sex doll, but who am I to judge?
Apparently the word “baba’ in Russian has sexual connotations, so maybe that’s something I may need to ask Hot For Words girl Marina Orlova about.
This year’s Bubble Baba Challenge was won by Vladislav Pavlenko, who rode his sex doll down the rapids in 2:47. No word on whether that time set a record of any kind.
