Sheyla Hershey, the Brazilian-born woman known for having the world’s largest breast implants, had to have them both removed as a result of infections.
Hershey became an Internet sensation once she was fitted with the M cup breast implants.
She tried to save them for the past three months, but because of the infections that resulted from the original implant surgery, Hershey had to have them removed, along with most of her own breast tissue.
Hershey’s surgeon realized during the procedure that most of her tissue was too damaged to save. She says her surgeon tried to save just enough tissue to attempt reconstructive surgery within three or four months.
Hershey has been suffering from severe infections after trying to achieve fame for having the largest breasts in the world.
Hershey’s most recent breast implant surgery that increased her cup size to an M, took place in Brazil in June 2010.
