Cowboys May Be 1-2, But Draw The Most Fans

Regardless if they win or lose and where they play their games, the Dallas Cowboys remain the biggest draw in the NFL, leading all teams in total attendance thus far.

The Cowboys haven’t played up to their potential during the early going, compiling a 1-2 record. But Dallas has drawn more than 247,000 fans to their three games – one at home and two on the road – for an average of 82,431.

Dallas is only one of four NFL teams that have drawn at least 100 percent or more of stadium capacity based on total attendance figures.

The Washington Redskins have averaged 89,455 fans in their two home games this season to lead all NFL teams. Dallas is second in average home game attendance, drawing 85,168 in their only home game.

Only nine teams have drawn at least 100 percent or more of stadium capacity based on home game attendance, with Indianapolis leading the NFL with 106.8 percent.

The St. Louis Rams have drawn the fewest fans through their three games in 2010 with a total of 153,206, an average of 51,068.

Dallas led all teams in total attendance in 2009, drawing 1,307,231 fans for an average of 81,701 in their 16 games. The New York Giants were second last year with total attendance of 1,223,927 for an average of 76,495.
